Hole Positioned on Copper Trace – Risk of Open Circuit

Reason for Failed Review:

 

Your design shows a drill hole located directly on a copper trace. This will cause the via or hole to cut through the trace, potentially resulting in an open circuit or electrical disconnection during production.

 

PCBasic Suggestions:

 

1. Please revise your Gerber file to move the hole away from the trace or redraw the trace to ensure electrical continuity.

 

2. If this placement is intentional, please add a note when placing your order stating:

 

“There is a hole in the trace. Please fabricate as designed.”
